Drawing on years of culinary expertise and her own deep Southern roots, Chef Melayne founded M & L’s Ragin Cajun in December 2021. The concept was born from her passionate desire to bring the authentic soul-stirring taste of New Orleans to the MD/DC/VA area. Chef Melayne combines traditional techniques with a commitment to heritage, ensuring every dish serves as a vibrant tribute to the flavors of the South.

Hailing from Vacherie, Louisiana, Chef Desmone infuses every dish with deep Southern flair and the authentic flavors of his heritage. Specializing in the soul-stirring classics of the South, his expertise spans from rich gumbo and jambalaya to masterfully prepared po-boys, catfish, and etouffee. With natural talent for creating bold, memorable profiles, Chef Desmone possesses a culinary gift that is sure to excite any palate.
